GOMACO GT-3600 Slipform Paver

The versatile three-track curb and gutter machine, slipforming curb, sidewalk, and barrier down to a 24 in. (610 mm) radius.

The GOMACO GT-3600 is a three-track curb and gutter machine designed for high-volume work, and it is the most versatile in its class. It slipforms curb and gutter, stand-up curb, roll-over curb, sidewalk, barrier, drainage channel, and specialty profiles, changing between them through GOMACO’s Hook-and-Go mold system. It runs on stringline or 3D machine guidance and pours a radius as tight as 24 in. (610 mm).

GOMACO was first in the industry to design a three-track machine that slipforms a 24 in. (610 mm) radius curb. All-Track Steering and radius sensors let the machine follow the curve accurately, and an extra-large hopper keeps it moving through the radius without waiting for a truck.

An optional Xtreme package makes it the most capable curb machine GOMACO builds. Rotary-sensored slew drives on all three tracks let them rotate 90 degrees and more for zero-turn mobility and quick side travel, and sensored All-Track Positioning gives G+ the position of every track for precise steering. Xtreme also brings smart-cylinder mold offset for repeatable positioning and G+ radius software: the operator dials in the radius, activates the program, and G+ manages the track angles and individual track speeds around the curve, so any operator can pour a clean radius.

Benefits

The tight-radius specialist

GOMACO was first to build a three-track machine that slipforms a 24 in. (610 mm) radius curb, and the GT-3600 still leads there. All-Track Steering and radius sensors adjust its trajectory into and out of a curve, and an extra-large hopper keeps concrete flowing through. Parking-lot islands and cul-de-sacs that once meant handwork are a straightforward pour.

Xtreme steering and zero-turn mobility

The optional Xtreme package puts rotary-sensored slew drives on all three tracks, which rotate 90 degrees and more for zero-turn mobility and fast side travel. Sensored All-Track Positioning gives G+ the position of every track, and G+ radius software lets an operator dial in a radius and let the controller manage it.

One machine, many profiles

The GT-3600 earns its keep on versatility. Curb and gutter is the core, but the Hook-and-Go system swaps molds fast to slipform stand-up and roll-over curb, sidewalk to 10 ft. (3.05 m), barrier to 50 in. (1270 mm), drainage channel, and stadium risers. A sideshifting trimmerhead and hydraulic mold lift let it pave right over driveways and manholes.

Fast loading, high production

Two concrete-delivery options keep production up: a 16 ft. (4.88 m) conveyor with a belt speed to 284 fpm (86.6 mpm), or a 17 ft. (5.18 m) hydraulic auger. Operational paving speed reaches 42 fpm (12.8 mpm), and the trimmerhead sideshifts up to 48 in. (1219 mm) to work within inches of obstacles. On-the-go driveway blockouts cut the follow-up handwork.

Why GOMACO

Concrete paving since 1965

GOMACO has built concrete paving equipment out of Ida Grove, Iowa since 1965 and holds ISO 9001:2015 certification. The paving line covers widths up to 50 feet (15.2 m) and depths to 19 inches (483 mm), and the same machines run on interstate mainline, airport runways, city streets, and canal work around the world.

G+ Operating System

G+ is proprietary, developed by GOMACO’s own control engineers rather than adapted from an off-the-shelf platform. It uses two-way communication between the paver and its accessories, closed-loop electronic and hydraulic control, and instant digital feedback. Contractors moving up from a GP-4000 can carry their existing attachments and sensors straight onto a new GP4.

Family owned from the start

GOMACO is still owned and run by the family that started it. Harold and Gary Godbersen founded Godbersen Manufacturing Company in 1965, and a third generation of the family is in the business today. Roughly 350 people build every machine in Ida Grove, Iowa, across more than 500,000 sq. ft. (46,450 m²) of plant, office and engineering space.
