GOMACO GP3 Slipform Paver
Two-track or four-track slipform paver built for roundabouts and tight radius work, paving 12 ft. (3.66 m) to 30 ft. (9.14 m) wide.
The GOMACO GP3 slipform paver handles city streets, roundabouts, interstate mainline and shoulder work, and scab-on lanes over continuous steel reinforcing. It comes as a two-track or a four-track machine, and both pave from 12 ft. (3.66 m) up to 30 ft. (9.14 m) wide with multiple width changes on the same job. G+ controls interface with stringline or 3D machine guidance, so the GP3 works with the guidance package your crew already runs.
GP3 highlights include 30 ft. (9.14 m) maximum paving width, 14 ft. (4.27 m) of dual-telescoping frame widening, 16 vibrators across 20 circuits as standard, a 160 gal. (605.7 L) fuel reservoir, a 230 gal. (870.6 L) oil reservoir, and operational weights of 77,000 lbs. (34,927 kg) two-track and 80,000 lbs. (36,287 kg) four-track.
Rotary-sensored slew drives sit on all four tracks and on every leg pivot arm. They feed G+ the exact track position and pivot angle, and the system then controls direction and speed for each track independently as the paver works through a turn. The tracks steer farther than on earlier GOMACO pavers, which suits the four-track GP3 to radius work a larger machine cannot reach. A GP3 has slipformed an 18 ft. (5.49 m) wide roundabout with a 22 ft. (6.71 m) inside radius, and a 12 ft. (3.66 m) truck apron with 8 in. (203 mm) integral curb around a roundabout interior.

Benefits
Smart frame widening
G+ knows the width of its own frame. Smart Cylinders in the GOMACO roller frame report the exact mainframe width, and the dual-telescoping frame moves 7 ft. (2.13 m) on each side for 14 ft. (4.27 m) of automatic widening. G+ uses that reference to set steering and track speeds while turning a radius.
Outriggers on the two-track GP3
Outriggers are available on the two-track machine for transport loading and frame widening. With them fitted, the paver raises and a truck trailer backs underneath, so loading does not need a separate lift on site. The same outriggers carry the frame during width changes on the job.
Minimum-clearance paving
An optional sidemounted paving package lets the GP3 pave while in transport mode where clearance is tight. A GP3 in that configuration has slipformed a 12 ft. (3.66 m) section of interstate, and another paved 10 ft. (3.05 m) wide over continuous steel with its left-side tracks running tight against a barrier wall.
Safety by design
Emergency stop buttons sit on the operator’s console and on the corners of the machine, all reachable from ground level. A backup alarm sounds whenever the tracks are set to run in reverse. Track guards, warning decals, an operator horn, and a safety manual come standard, and the operator’s platform is isolated.
Why GOMACO
Concrete paving since 1965
GOMACO has built concrete paving equipment out of Ida Grove, Iowa since 1965 and holds ISO 9001:2015 certification. The paving line covers widths up to 50 feet (15.2 m) and depths to 19 inches (483 mm), and the same machines run on interstate mainline, airport runways, city streets, and canal work around the world.
G+ Operating System
G+ is proprietary, developed by GOMACO’s own control engineers rather than adapted from an off-the-shelf platform. It uses two-way communication between the paver and its accessories, closed-loop electronic and hydraulic control, and instant digital feedback. Contractors moving up from a GP-4000 can carry their existing attachments and sensors straight onto a new GP4.
Family owned from the start
GOMACO is still owned and run by the family that started it. Harold and Gary Godbersen founded Godbersen Manufacturing Company in 1965, and a third generation of the family is in the business today. Roughly 350 people build every machine in Ida Grove, Iowa, across more than 500,000 sq. ft. (46,450 m²) of plant, office and engineering space.
