GOMACO GP-2600 Slipform Paver

The GOMACO GP-2600 is the mid-range slipform paver, built for new and reconstruction work on highways, city streets, parking lots, and airport pavements. It paves 12 ft. (3.66 m) to 18.5 ft. (5.64 m) on the standard telescoping frame and up to 32 ft. (9.75 m) with frame inserts, at depths to 19 in. (483 mm), as a two-track or four-track machine. G+ controls interface with stringline or 3D machine guidance.
Long a mainstay of GOMACO’s line, the GP-2600 is powered by a 275 hp (205.2 kW) emission-controlled Caterpillar diesel and has slipformed roads, canals, and airport aprons on projects across the world. Its two-speed drive gives a low, powerful gear for pushing large volumes of concrete.
Two features set it apart on the four-track machine. Counter-rotation lets the paver turn a full 360 degrees within its own dimensions, for job-site mobility a longer machine cannot match. And GOMACO’s exclusive smart steer cylinders give push-button steering setup: the cylinders can be taught the exact degree of leg rotation a minimum-clearance job needs, so the tracks clear obstacles on their own, with the operator able to override at any time. The selective steer system adds coordinated, crab, front, and rear steering modes on top.

Turns inside its own footprint
On the four-track machine, counter-rotation lets the GP-2600 spin a full 360 degrees within its own dimensions. Getting a paver onto line and around a tight site is far quicker than with a machine that needs room to swing, and the GP-2600 has one of the industry’s fastest tracking speeds between pours.
Push-button steering in tight spots
GOMACO’s exclusive smart steer cylinders simplify minimum-clearance work. The cylinders can be taught the exact degree of leg rotation a job allows, so the tracks avoid striking obstacles, and the operator can override anytime. They also cut moving parts, replacing the sprocket, chain, and potentiometer at the top of each leg with one sensored cylinder.
One mold, open-front or auger/strike-off
The optional detachable telescoping auger/strike-off lets one 5000 series mold work as an open-front or an auger/strike-off. Both the strike-off and auger telescope 6 ft. (1.83 m), so a width change means adding a mold section and telescoping in or out. Detached, the paver ships under 12 ft. (3.66 m) wide with the mold still mounted.
Why GOMACO
Concrete paving since 1965
GOMACO has built concrete paving equipment out of Ida Grove, Iowa since 1965 and holds ISO 9001:2015 certification. The paving line covers widths up to 50 feet (15.2 m) and depths to 19 inches (483 mm), and the same machines run on interstate mainline, airport runways, city streets, and canal work around the world.
G+ Operating System
G+ is proprietary, developed by GOMACO’s own control engineers rather than adapted from an off-the-shelf platform. It uses two-way communication between the paver and its accessories, closed-loop electronic and hydraulic control, and instant digital feedback. Contractors moving up from a GP-4000 can carry their existing attachments and sensors straight onto a new GP4.
Family owned from the start
GOMACO is still owned and run by the family that started it. Harold and Gary Godbersen founded Godbersen Manufacturing Company in 1965, and a third generation of the family is in the business today. Roughly 350 people build every machine in Ida Grove, Iowa, across more than 500,000 sq. ft. (46,450 m²) of plant, office and engineering space.
