The GOMACO CC-1200e is the world’s first battery-powered slipform curb machine. A 48-volt lithium-ion battery pack replaces the diesel engine entirely, so the machine slipforms concrete curb with zero exhaust emissions, zero engine noise, and reduced vibration. That makes it suited to work a diesel machine cannot do comfortably: indoors, in parking structures, near occupied buildings, and on noise-restricted or night jobs.
The battery runs a full paving day on the standard 8-to-10-hour charging system, with an optional 2-hour fast charge. The CC-1200e is self-propelled and compact, at 3,694 lbs. (1676 kg) and 8.2 ft. (2.5 m) long, and it is run entirely by radio remote with the GOMACO G+ control system.
For a small machine it is capable. Rotary-sensored slew-drive steering on the front wheels gives it a tight turning ability and a 24 in. (610 mm) radius depending on the mold profile, and it pours curb on either side of the machine with a hopper and mold that adjust up to 15 in. (381 mm). Interchangeable molds cover any profile that fits a 12 in. (305 mm) wide by 14 in. (356 mm) high section. Paving speed reaches 40 fpm (12.2 mpm), with an auxiliary travel speed of 93 fpm (28.3 mpm) for moving around the site.

The CC-1200e is the world’s first battery-powered slipform curb machine, and running on a 48-volt lithium-ion pack it produces zero exhaust emissions and zero engine noise, with reduced vibration for the operator. That opens up work a diesel machine struggles with: indoor floors, parking structures, hospital and school grounds, and noise-restricted night pours.
Battery power only helps if it lasts the shift, and the CC-1200e slipforms a full paving day on one charge. The standard system recharges in 8 to 10 hours overnight, and an optional 2-hour fast charge tops it up if a job runs long. There is no fuel to store and no DEF to manage.
At 3,694 lbs. (1676 kg) and 8.2 ft. (2.5 m) long, the CC-1200e is small enough to load and move between jobs without a heavy trailer. It is run entirely by radio remote with the G+ control system, so the operator stays on the ground and walks with the machine. Every corner and the remote carry an emergency stop.

GOMACO has built concrete paving equipment out of Ida Grove, Iowa since 1965 and holds ISO 9001:2015 certification. The paving line covers widths up to 50 feet (15.2 m) and depths to 19 inches (483 mm), and the same machines run on interstate mainline, airport runways, city streets, and canal work around the world.
G+ is proprietary, developed by GOMACO’s own control engineers rather than adapted from an off-the-shelf platform. It uses two-way communication between the machine and its accessories, closed-loop electronic and hydraulic control, and instant digital feedback. It runs in imperial or metric and in every major language.
GOMACO is still owned and run by the family that started it. Harold and Gary Godbersen founded Godbersen Manufacturing Company in 1965, and a third generation of the family is in the business today. Roughly 350 people build every machine in Ida Grove, Iowa, across more than 500,000 sq. ft. (46,450 m²) of plant, office and engineering space.
